After arriving from Italy, this Wednesday and Thrusday I had the last NNOCCI classes (see posts before). There, I had the great opportunity of sharing my work with really enthuastic people from different US National Parks and Aquariums and to learn more tips about communication. I'm really looking forward to the final meeting. These people are great communicators and I'm sure they will have awsome projects for explaining climate change to the society.
At the same time the Ocean Outlook meeting took place. There are a lot of collaborations in diverse fields going on in between WHOI and Bergen. Mine is one of those. In in aditttion we have are new vessel on port!! So today we could visit it for the first time. A new shiny ship to carry out more cool research! Last week I went to the ASOF meeting. This is a small meeting of people working on the Arctic Ocean. It was a really cool experience as, not being many people, it lead to an open forum of discussions and learning. It was great to know what other people do in the area and to get their feedback from them about my study. I have only been a year working on the Arctic Ocean and I found very nourishing to have attended to this meeting. By the way it was also great to go back to the mediterranean diet for some days and to visit the area. Beneath a picture of the Cinque Terre:
